SECURITY SPECIALIST TRAINER - Buzwagi Gold Mine
African Barrick Gold (ABG) seeks to appoint dedicated, self motivated and highly organized Security Specialist Trainer and Dewatering Construction Assistant for its Buzwagi Gold Mine. Below are the details for the openings.
1ST POSITION: SECURITY SPECIALIST TRAINER (1 POST)
Reporting line; Buzwagi Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region
Location; Buzwagi Gold Mine, Kahama District, shinyanga region
Work Schedule; 6 weeks on; 3 weeks off
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Execution of training programs, oversee preparation of lesson plan, assessments and training aids to best practice standards
•    Maintain best practice administration procedures including management of training records
•    Continually review every aspect of training activities to ensure that opportunities to add value and enhance shareholder wealth are identified and implemented
•    Fully comply with Voluntary Principles (VPs) on Human Rights and the use of Force policy
•    Carry out duties diligently at all times, with the highest regard for the safety of himself and other employees, the environment and community members
•    Ensure that all security personnel are equipped, trained and qualified to respond to potential "breach of security" incidents
•    Collaborate with Buzwagi, Bulyanhulu, North Mara Mine and any other ABG project or operations to prepare security graduates with appropriate skills to ensure high quality security officers and leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Education Requirements;
•    Certificate of Secondary Education examination is a minimum requirement
•    Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS;
•    Minimum 5 years' experience in the law enforcement functions particularly Military, Police, Prison or as a Security professional working in a mining and gold processing environment
•    Advanced skills in Security operations, including; Training and Field surveillance, deployment & intervention.
•    Proficient in identifying training needs, designing appropriate intervention initiatives, roll-out of training programs, monitoring and progress reporting
•    Competent in executing and delivering competency-based training matrices and leading teams of trainers

2ND POSITION; DEWATERING CONSTRUCTION ASSISTANT- (1 POST)
 Reporting line; Boilermaker First Line Leader
Location; Buzwagi Gold Mine, Kahama District, shinyanga region
Work Schedule; 5 days day shift, 5 days night shift and 5 days off
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Setting up and monitoring of pit dewatering pumps
•    Borehole pumps and the powering engines monitoring, this includes follow up on the re-fuelling and reporting of performance and faults
•    Carry out dewatering projects including pipeline installations, extensions and reallocation
•    Pump servicing 
•    Provide assistance in other projects in the department
•    Good communication skills and understanding of the two-way radio system for daily work communications and emergency reporting
•    To actively participate in all safety programs
•    Take actions to identify and rectify hazards and risks
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Education Requirements;
•    Certificate of Secondary Education examination is a minimum requirement
•    A valid Tanzanian driving License
•    Fitter mechanics or boilermaker certificate will be added advantage
Experience Requirements:
•    At least 2 years experience with dewatering in any large open pit operation
•    Experience of at least 1 year with fitter mechanics or boiler making works
