ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS MANAGER
African Barrick Gold seeks to appoint an experienced Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Manager based at Bulyanhulu Gold Mine in Tanzania. This role reports to the Mine General Manager and the role holder will be accountable to provide leadership and systems that deliver industry best practice in attracting, developing and retaining the best talent to ensure productivity and sustainability at Bulyanhulu mine in a 1 - 2 year period.
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
OE Improvement Plan – development and implementation of:
• Localization / succession plan to develop Tanzanian candidates to replace positions held by expatriates
• Improve effectiveness of technical training and learning
• Increase labour productivity
• Reduction in absenteeism
• Put measures in place to decrease the number of CMA cases
• Increase employee satisfaction (e.g. Facilities and Services etc.)
• Ensure that team members capabilities members match the complexity of their roles

• Exemplify the ABG desired / cultural behaviours
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Education Requirements:
• Degree in Social Science or similar
• Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage
• Member of a Human Resources Board (would be advantageous)
Experience Requirements:
• At least 8 years experience in Human Resources Management in a managerial role
• Experience working with multinational organizations and dealing with multicultural orientations
• Experience in dealing with:
o Contract management
o Human Capital Development
o Compensation and Benefit
o Talent Management
o Labour Budgeting and Planning
o Contractor Management
o Labour laws and labour related (IR) issues
