1.Job Title : Utility Inspector
Requirements :
1.Education: Completion of Secondary School (form IV) and Vocational training from Technical School is required.
2.Prior experience: Must have two years of experience in utility trades.
3.Language proficiency: Level III (good working knowledge) English ability and Level IV (fluent) in Kiswahili (reading, writing and speaking) is required.
4.Knowledge: Good working knowledge of utility consumption process (electric, fuel, water). Ideally would have been a generator technician or an electrical technician previously.
5.Skills and Abilities: Able to perform most tasks with minimal supervision. Computer skills to use office computer system and data applications for monitoring including replenishment of utilities are required. Must have a valid driver's license and be a certified safe driver. Must be able to pass driving test immediately.
Job Description :On weekly schedule; Monitor the usage of the Luku's at the residences and reorder when applicable. Monitor the usage of the diesel fuel for the generators and reorder if applicable. Take note of any misuse or tampering of fuel and report any possible theft and offer suggestions to stop stealing of fuel. On this same weekly schedule: While performing aforementioned duties will also inspect and check all fluid levels in the residential generators, will inspect all oil levels, all coolant levels and add as necessary to include battery electrolyte fluid levels. Will record water consumption, engine oil consumption weekly and provide to the FMM.
2.Job Title : Maintenance Foreman
Requirements :
1.Education: Secondary School (Form IV) is required. Must have completed two years of vocational training in mechanical/electrical trades from reputable vocational training institute or college.
2.Prior Work Experience: Five years experience in Mechanical/Electrical field is required. Two years of previous Supervisory experience (of the five years) is also required.
3.Language: Level IV (fluent) in English and Kiswahili (reading writing and speaking) is required.
4.Knowledge: Must be fully qualified in at least one of the building trades or crafts he/she supervises and that cannot be less than Electrician or proven Generator related Experience building trade as journeyman; must have excellent working knowledge of written English, because all drawings and sketches are in English language and operators manuals or Automatic Voltage regulators and Automatic Transfer Switches are all in English.
5.Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of an exposure to Electrical, power generation carpentry, painting, masonry, welding electrical grounding, plumbing and refrigeration trades. Computer skills is required.
Job Description :Provides guidance and works with a multi trade workforce of 23 skilled and semi-skilled employees engaged in maintenance work with the Embassy and Mission residences. Maintains records and prepares reports on various aspects of maintenance and repair operations. Reviews work orders and estimates manpower requirements and ascertains materials are available in advance of committing work force to the job tasks.
