REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. For Professor position:

A professor or associate professor from accredited university.


2. For Associate Professor Position

An associate professor or senior lecturer from an accredited university.

3. For Senior Lecturer Position

PhD. from an accredited university in the field of specialization, a minimum of three years university teaching experience and five publications in professional and or academic journals or textbooks.

4. For Lecturer Position

PhD. from an accredited university in the field of specialization.

5. For Assistant Lecturer Position

Masters degree in the field of specialization.

6. For Tutorial Assistant Position

Bachelors degree (upper Second class and above) in the field of specialization.


6. ADMINISTRATION POSITIONS (one position)

Reports to: The Deputy Vice Chancellor Finance and Administration

1. DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES The Position

a) The Human Resources Director (HRD) is duty bound to guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire university.

b) She/he originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

c) The HRD coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff.

2. DIRECTOR FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

Reports to: The Vice Chancellor through the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC)

The Position

Responsible for planning, directing and controlling financial, human resources, administrative functions, procedures and in accordance with University's financial regulations.

Qualifications and experience.

At least five (5) year work experience in a similar position or equivalent business experience. ACCA, CIMA, or MBA Finance, BBA Accountancy Degree.

3. DIRECTOR OF ADMISSION AND STUDENT AFFAIRS (DASA)

Reports to: The Vice Chancellor through the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC)

The Position

a) He/she oversees all aspects of student recruitment for the university, and will be responsible to develop and implement all admission goals.

b) Oversees aspects of Careers, Counseling, Health Service, the Inter Faith Centre, Sport & Recreation, and Student Activities, to assist students in their personal and academic

development during their time at UB.

Requirements

The person is required to have; Doctoral degree in education or related field, knowledge of accounting and statistics. Accompanied with computer, sales & marketing skills, managerial & interpersonal skills, desire to help other people and strong work ethics.

4. Chief Accountant/BURSAR

2 The Position

Ideal candidate must have extensive experience in financial reporting which includes, internal control, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, insurance and accounting.

Requirements

To qualify for the role a candidate need to have over 4-6 years experience in supervisory capacity on the finance function.

MINIMUM TRAINING

CPA (T), ACCA, CIMA, Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; supplemented by seven (4-5) years progressively responsible experience in accounting work; accounting and budget administration; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
5. CASHIER

The Position

a) Will be responsible for processing all funds received by UB. These are, to records student account payments, loan payments, and declining balance account deposits.

b) The Cashier's Office is also responsible for recording deposits for other University departments and accounts.

MINIMUM TRAINING

Advanced Diploma in accounting or its equivalent; supplemented by 4-5 years progressively responsible experience in cashier/accounting work.

6. EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

Reports to: the Director of Finance and Administration

The Position

a) Responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support.

b) Provide senior level secretarial and clerical services for the Vice Chancellor.

Requirements

The Executive Secretary would normally attain the required knowledge, skills and attitudes through completion of an office procedures and/or bookkeeping course combined with related experience. Equivalencies will be considered.
