Branch Manager-3 Positions The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall growth and sustainability of his or her assigned Branch Office, including strategic direction, marketing, operations,underwriting,claims,premium collection, financial analysis and control, portfolio and staff supervision and planning, organizing resources, reporting, implementing service standards, agreed policies and procedures and controlling all branch operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan, Monitor and implement the Customer service level standards and processes as per set Service standards mainly focusing on quick service delivery and efficiency in terms of key deliverables;
2. Plan and Monitor branch growth, business quality and distribution network as per set Branch targets;
3. Perform prudently all activities relating to risk assessment, underwriting, claims management, accounts, business development and marketing at the branch;
4. Compile, Analyze and provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to the Head Office as per Branch reporting requirements;
5. Monitor and evaluate the work of the branch staff as per the Human Resource Manual and guidelines;
6. Monitor and implement staff adherence to policies and procedures in line with the Human Resource Manuals;
7. Identify, assess, monitor and respond to customer concerns through use the agreed standard customer care channels;
8. Ensure that all risks accepted are within the scope of our treaties and underwriting capacity;
9. Closely monitor market trends and threats in the area of jurisdiction and recommend suitable solutions and strategies to management;
10. Carry out administrative and oversight role.
11. Perform any other duties assigned by a person occupying a senior position in the company.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES:

1. Maintain and promote the image and visibility of ICEA LION TANZANIA;
2. Speedily deal with customer inquiries and business quotations including risk surveys;
3. Maintain regular and co-ordinates business visitations to existing intermediaries and recruit new productive ones;
4. Expand and increase the clientele base and business volume of the Branch office.
5. Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Branch office.
6. Supervise and effect quality service delivery within the Branch with minimum turnaround time.
7. Mentor and manage staff in accordance to the Company policies and procedures.
8. Ensure all controls are adhered to at the Branch office.
9. Check all financial transactions to ensure that all premiums due to the company are collected on time, banking is are done on time with no discrepancies;
10. Ensure that claims are processed timely and report to Head Office any cases of exaggerated of fraudulent claims from claimants, insureds and service providers;
11. Increase the Company profitability by maintaining a high quality business portfolio and ensuring that all branch expenses are closely monitored and controlled.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

1. A University Degree preferably in Insurance &Risk management, Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA) or Marketing;
2. At least 3 years work experience in a recognized insurance company or intermediary. One year Supervisory or managerial experience is an added advantage;
3. A sound knowledge of the business environment in the designated branch;
4 .A working knowledge of the appropriate computer applications;
5. Ability to motivate and manage staff.
