Ensures, manages and optimizes the technical quality, maintainability, compliance and interfaces of services within the IS End User Computing tower in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) time zone area . This position is based in the EMEA time zone area. Please refer to the &additional information& section for further guidance.
Tasks
- Acts as and is regarded as an SME authority for EUC Tower and will be assigned to one of the IS services
- Performs assigned activities in the service catalog management, change implementation management, release & deployment management, incident and major incident management, event management, service level management, problem management processes to ensure delivery of IS Services
- Collaborates with IS suppliers with regard to the operational implementation of outsourced activities and/or the current license usage, consistent with existing agreements.
- Conveys architecture, standards, policies, norms, and guidelines to IS Supply.
- Responsible for assessing and providing recommendations relating to trend analyses of incidents, working with the relevant IS Service Coordinators.
- Approves/rejects resolution of problem tickets.
- Creates and/or approves technical specifications for changes based on functional as well as non-functional requirements and specifications.
- Analyze current service performance for potential problems and improvement
- Support global vendors in analyzing problems and developing solutions
- Run and monitor continuous technology improvement projects
- Propose and evaluate business case for changes or new services
- Evaluate service refresh and new services
- Maintain a daily cooperation with global vendors and work with them to ensure service level targets are met
- Support global vendor to resolve major incidents
Requirements
- BSc degree with 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure services on a large scale
- Strong working knowledge in Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, iOS
- Strong working knowledge in both hardware and software install, move, add, change actions for a variety of local and remote PCs, desktops, laptops, tablets, printers and mobile devices.
- Solid understanding of software packaging deployment and distribution process on a large and complex scale
- Will be required to periodically work shifts incorporating either an early start or late finish.
- Good command of English
