Order Management Specialist

Sandvik Machining Solutions, a world leader in tools and tooling systems for metal cutting, as well as components and high-volume blanks in cemented carbide, has an opening for an Order Management Specialist located in Mebane, North Carolina.

The role

As a part of the order management team you will work with quotations of new orders, make the order preparation, make drawings for turning and blanks, find out best solution for fixtures as well as the actual order management including setting the priority for the workshop and communication towards our customers.

The scope of the work will be highly diversified and consist of a lot of contacts with customers, suppliers, other production units within the Sandvik group as well as people in the internal organization.

Key performance areas

• Ability to read and comprehend product to drawings
• Develop accurate manufacturing plans including processing times and cost estimations
• Create documentation and drawings necessary for manufacturing a product
• Design fixtures to support manufacturing
• Schedule and give priority for orders throughout the manufacturing process
• Respond professionally to customer order related inquiries and work proactively to provide order status to the customer
• Follow up, Identify, communicate and address any production or delivery related issues in a timely manner

Your profile

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience related to order management, customer service, production and planning systems. Excellent communication skills, CAD/CAM experience and ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
