GOVERNMENT RELATIONS ANALYST
One Acre Fund is a multi-national non-profit organization that works with more than 250,000 farmers across East Africa. We provide smallholder farmers with the tools and financing they need to succeed. One Acre Fund is hiring for leadership within our Tanzania organization and has several full time, career track roles available


POSITION: GOVERNMENT RELATIONS ANALYST (Dar es salaam)

The Government Relations Analyst will lead our government relations work in Dar Es Salaam, grow the scope of our government relations at the regional level, and manage a local government team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• National relationship management: Maintain existing government and policy relationships, making new contacts at the national level, and assessing future sectors of importance to One Acre Fund
• Regulatory compliance: Own relationships with key regulators to ensure One Acre Fund is compliant with all relevant licenses and permits in order to conduct its work.
• Local government relationships: Manage the work of our local government officers to maintain positive relationships at district and regional levels.
• Country-level and regional policy agenda research: Conduct research to support the creation of a well-informed policy agenda for our organisation in Tanzania and East Africa.

Additional Qualifications Required:
• Experience working in the public sector / with government officials.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
• Tanzanian professional with 2-5+ years of work experience (high-level professional work/entrepreneurial experience)
• Bachelors or Masters University Graduate with GPA 3.0 or higher (Please include GPA/Scholl marks)
• Fluent in Kiswahili and English
• Fluency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to live and work in Iringa, with regional travel (unless otherwise stated)
