Job description
Control of General Ledger including reconciliations and postings Ad hoc analysis of General Ledger and subsystem accounts Checking daily cash accounts if agree with the general ledgers. Maintaining monthly, weekly and daily reports of transactions been processes. Doing the monthly VAT Returns as required by Tanzania Revenue Authority. Be the custodian of cash and other company important documents.Support the finance leader on doing the bank reconciliations monthly.Provide the reconciliation for petty cash weekly and monthly.Receive customer payments and issue receipts accordingly.Process payments to approved and authorised claims (i.e suppliers).Doing the daily bank deposits for collections.Support the finance team in preparing the monthly reports.Advise and support immediate supervisor any urgent transactions that need attention.
Experience requirements
Good accounting skillsExperience on BPCSComputer literate with proficiency in MS Office applications and Lotus NotesExcellent attention to detailGood interpersonal skills
Knowledge
Excellent knowledge of Accounting systems and accounting packages.Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, Lotus Notes mail and databases. Must be able to demonstrate good communication skills applicable to the workplace.
Educational requirements
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or finance from a recognized Institution.

Team Player,Able to work under stressful situations We require a highly structured and organized person that is proactive and able to complete diverse tasks in parallel and within strict timelines.Excellent communications skills, team work spirit, innovative/pro-active, initiative and eager to learn. Be prepared to stay late during closure periods of the reports as and when required.Work under minimum supervision.
