The Australian Embassy in Brussels requires an Accounts & HR assistant in a part time support role.
Your role will be to provide accounts, payroll and HR support for a medium sized office (40 staff) that is part of the global Australian government diplomatic network. The position is in the Embassy's team providing corporate services support to diplomatic and other staff.
The Embassy is looking for a person who:
- can balance busy and high pressure periods with everyday routine;
- is confident in communicating information with all levels of an organisation;
- has a keen eye for detail and who understands the importance of accurate reporting;
- works well in a team, is motivate, positive and willing to take on any task;
- has good judgment and appreciates the importance of the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Selection Requirements:
- Experience in accounts and/or HR support;
- Experience in the use of financial management and/or payroll systems along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and achieve results;
- Good working knowledge of written and spoken English;
- Knowledge of either French or Dutch.
Desirable (not compulsory):
- Experience with any of SAP, Kronos Workforce Ready and/or Partena payroll;
- Knowledge of Belgian employment law requirements.
Monthly salary for this role is EUR2,000 for 25 hours per week part-time (EUR 3,000 equivalent full time rate) plus 1.92mths of the part-time salary in statutory bonuses per annum.

The position is part-time (25 hours per week) and the working days and hours can be negotiated. The position commences in mid November.
