Millenium Microfin (T) Limited (MML) is operating since June 2009 as a private company limited by shares. It provides financial services to low-income, self-employed entrepreneurs who have legal income generating activities. The focus of MML is for entrepreneurs to improve their living conditions. MML through its expansion plan and in an effort to serve its customer better, is looking to fill the following position in Dar es Salaam.
Job descriptions: Accountant Officer (Tanzanian Citizen only)
The Accountant Officer is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures, to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
Qualifications and requirements:
1. Applicants should have financial services experience with the following general profile:
1.1. A Degree/Diploma in Finance or Accounting.
1.2. Chartered Certified Accountant (CCA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) completed/in progress is added advantage.
1.3. Accounting and finance experience in a financial institution (microfinance) is added advantage.
1.4. Good knowledge of accounting IT System (familiar with Microsoft excel, spreadsheet, and other office tools).
1.5. Strong team work skills, honest, encourages openness and transparency.
1.6. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
