IS Strategic Business Partner, Enterprise Architecture

Diageo Global Business Services (GDBS), a multi-functional global shared services function, was created in October 2011 to further improve business efficiency and empower our markets to focus on our commercial growth.
Within GDBS, Diageo has a Global 'Enterprise Architecture' group with responsibility for:
 

• Designing and continually improving the technical foundation that all Diageo solutions rest upon (networks, servers, data centres, branches, enterprise platforms).
• Partnering with the markets & functions to design and create solutions that leverage our existing capabilities while also identifying innovations that can benefit the enterprise.

Role Description:
The IS Business Partner roles will report into the Lead Solutions Architecture and will be focused on engaging project teams and Enterprise Architects in designing technical solutions in support of Diageo's business and technical initiatives.  The roles available cover the following areas:
 

• Finance, Tax, Treasury, HR & Legal
• Corporate Functions
• Business Shared Services

Top Accountabilities:
Each role will be responsible for: 
 

• Partnering with the relevant IS Business Relationship Managers divisions to identify and design technical solutions across a range of technologies/platforms/providers
• Provide thought leadership to challenge and influence all technical designs to best leverage the capabilities of our platforms
• Continual expansion of your architecture knowledge, constantly seeking ways to broaden exposure to the latest and greatest trends and developments in the technology space
• Tightly integrating with the rest of Enterprise Architecture, including: 
  • Information architecture
  • Platform architecture
  • Technical architecture

Qualifications and Experience Required: 
 

• Demonstrated expertise designing solutions in a global enterprise environment
• Knowledge and experience with architecting, designing and implementing cloud-based solutions 
• Demonstrable experience successfully delivering information technologies business solutions for large-scale global applications across multiple hardware and software platforms
• Demonstrated ability to deliver integrated Business-IT strategy
• Building International and cross divisional partnerships
• Experience working with executive sponsors and senior business leadership teams developing and delivering strategy and operating plans with demonstrated competency
• Strategic thinking, leadership and relationship management

This is a fantastic role in a newly created Centre of Excellence team to support a Global IS Function.
