BBC Media Action is looking to hire a research agency to conduct an end-line survey across Dodoma and Morogoro in August 2014 to assess people's knowledge, attitudes and practices with respect to community resilience and governance indicators.
BBC Media Action has been implementing a project called 'Radio for Resilience' funded by Accountability Tanzania (AcT) in order to harness the power of the media to increase and build resilience of those most vulnerable to the effects of climate change in Morogoro and Dodoma.
As part of the project, BBC Media Action has been producing a programme 'Nyakati Zinabadilika' at three Radio Stations in Morogoro and Dodoma. The programmes aimed to contribute to the long term impact of increased resilience of Tanzanians most vulnerable to climate related risks. This is through direct actions taken by Tanzanians to increase resilience: and demand for greater accountability and improved governance.
The survey will be used to collect data on knowledge, attitudes and behaviour relating to several issues affecting people's resilience in Dodoma and Morogoro, including the ability to take part in conversations to local government accountability.
