This enables VSO to go beyond the level of impact traditional training approaches deliver. VSO primarily works through professional volunteers who are able to model change and provide significant coaching support

Role overview
The role will be delivered in the government teacher training colleges in the northen zone(Kilimanjaro region). Thus the implementimg partner is the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training ,under the Directorate of Teacher Education.It is expected that Quality Teaching Skills Facilitators will focus on providing mentoring, coaching and training to Tutors ,Heads of Departments and Academic Deans to make effective use of a variety of pedagogical tools.The Quality teaching facilitator will be working with other 2 team members within a zone including British Council trainers who will be supporting delivery of English language training as a subject and medium of communication.For details refer to the job description document.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
You have at least a bachelor degree in education (BEd)or Bachelor of Secondary education and a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in secondary or teacher training college. Experience of teacher training and teacher coaching is not essential but desirable.
You are available for a volunteer placement of not less than 12 months.
