The organisation is an equal opportunity employer currently seeking to recruit competent persons to fill the following vacant positions: Plan International Inc. in Uganda was awarded a 5-year Cooperative Agreement under the Northern Uganda- Health Integration to Enhance Services (NU-HITES) project to continue providing technical assistance and capacity building support for Northern Uganda in Malaria, AIDS and Tuberculosis, integrate additional support in Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH), Family Planning (FP) and nutrition; while prioritizing the strengthening of district-level health facilities. Under the NU-HITES project, Plan Uganda would like to recruit competent candidates for the following positions: Training Manager – NU-HITES Project (3 Positions) Department & Location: Gulu/Lira/Kitgum Reports to: Director of Health Service Delivery Purpose: This position reports to the Director of Health Service Delivery and the successful candidate will be a member of the Health Service Delivery team and will specifically be responsible for providing technical leadership in identifying technical capacity needs and designing and implementation of capacity building programs for project staff, district health teams and community health support teams. It is a full-time position based at the main Nu-HITES project office in Gulu for a five-year term, with frequent travel to districts throughout the Northern Region of Uganda. Dimensions of Role: Member of the Health Service Delivery Team of the NU-HITES project reporting to the Director Of Health Service Delivery. Supports the Director of Health Service Delivery in planning, implementation and monitoring of capacity-building (training) activities for NU-HITES project staff, district health teams (includes health- facility staff) and community-based resource teams to ensure efficient planning and delivery of quality integrated health services. Supports the Director of Health Services to ensure effective delivery of the project in compliance with USAID rules and regulations, Plan policies and procedures as well as the national and other relevant international policies and guidelines.
