Health Poverty Action (HPA), formerly Health Unlimited, works with some of the poorest and most marginalised communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America, often in very difficult environments. We work to enable these communities to achieve improvements to their health, promoting this as one of their fundamental human rights. HPA currently operates in 14 countries worldwide, including Africa, S.E. Asia, E. Asia and Latin America.
With the support from European Commission, HPA has been implementing a five-year project titled "Improving the Reproductive and Sexual Health of Internally Displaced People of Maroodi Jeex, Somaliland which started in 2008 and is ending by December 2012.
The overall objective of the project is: "To secure the right to good reproductive and sexual health among IDP/returnee women, men and adolescents and in Maroodi Jeex Region, Somaliland".
The objective of this endline Knowledge, Attitudes and Practice (KAP) survey will be to measure changes in the knowledge, attitudes and practice of project beneficiaries as it relates to sexual, reproductive and child health. It will also seek to establish the difference in KAP between project beneficiaries and the general population.
